So far this year we have asked the class the following questions:
  • Which decade had the best music?
  • What is the best thing ever invented?
  • Could robots rule the world?
Our robotics topic culminated in a trip to City College Plymouth for a fantastic day of programming.  We also had a great day with a Japanese expert from Tavistock College who showed the children how to count, sing songs and paint their names in Japanese.  Photos from both of these events can be seen below.
For the Summer term we want to know whether Sir Francis Drake was a pirate and whether the dinosaurs roamed on Dartmoor.  These are both part of our local area study as Drake lived locally and Dartmoor is on our doorstep.
If you lose your homework card and need to download another one here, please check that you have chosen the correct one.
MyMaths activities have now been updated. Please remember that you can choose whether to complete the Times Tables Rockstars homework OR the MyMaths homework.  You DO NOT need to do both each week!  I have put a deadline of the Easter holidays on the MyMaths activities.
My advice is to dabble in both activities as this will support your learning in class.
Our robot coding trip to City College Plymouth.  A fantastic day programming robots to dance and to launch space satellites!
We had a visitor from Tavistock College who spent a day with Year 3 and 4 and taught us how to count, sing and write our names in Japanese.
